Claims
UsedAutoBank.com Claim Submission Procedure
All customer Claims must be submitted to the Company when collecting the vehicle. In cases of mechanical failure, the Claim is accepted if the distance driven after collection does not exceed 45 km.
Claims that will not be reviewed:
- Defects clearly listed on the Website; or
- Defects typical for used vehicles and resulting from normal wear and tear; or
- Defects that do not prevent normal use of the vehicle. A vehicle with a valid technical inspection is considered fit for use; or
- Minor defects where the cost of each defect does not exceed 100 EUR and total defects do not exceed 500 EUR; or
- Defects reported after the deadline specified in section 2.1; or
- Defects for which no valid Claim (as required under section 2.1) was submitted; or
- Any repairs, painting, washing or other works carried out after handover which, in the Company’s view, prevent proper assessment of the vehicle’s condition at handover;
- Vehicles purchased at auctions marked “Damaged cars”;
- Vehicles purchased at auctions marked “With technical defects”.
Example list of defects for which Claims are not reviewed:
- Minor body or paint scratches.
- Scratches on mirror plastic housings.
- Scratched wheels/rims.
- Small body dents.
- Chips or cracks in the windshield.
- Broken front grills.
- Dirty interior and/or exterior.
- Torn floor mats.
- Fuel level different from Website information.
- Flat tire(s).
- Missing wheel covers.
- Missing spare wheel and/or compressor.
- Missing service booklet.
- Missing navigation CD/DVD.
- Missing user manual.
- Missing engine guard.
- Missing antenna.
Vehicles with mileage exceeding 120,000 km
The Company will not review Claims regarding the following components:
- Clutch;
- EGR valve;
- Missing AC refrigerant;
- Brakes (including handbrake);
- Air flow meter;
- Shock absorbers;
- Battery;
- Engine oil;
- Brake and other required fluids;
- Dashboard indicator bulbs;
- Turbocharger leakage, oil or fluid leaks.
Claim Review Process
- If a Claim meets the requirements and is recognized as valid, defects will be repaired using used parts (if possible), or the compensation amount will be reduced.
- Upon request, the customer must provide a detailed repair estimate from an authorized manufacturer service within 5 business days.
- If the Company disagrees with the estimate, it may request a new one from a service chosen by the Company.
- If there is disagreement, the Company may:
- repair the defects itself; or
- pay a lower compensation based on the estimate issued by the Company’s chosen service.
Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
- This Procedure is governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania.
- All disputes arising from or related to this Procedure are resolved in accordance with the Agreement.
Other Provisions
- The Company may amend or supplement this Procedure at any time.
- If any provision becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
